As of writing this I am currently 26 years old and a Salinas native who recently received their certificate in Web Development at San Jose State University powered by Fullstack Academy. I first stepped into coding when I signed up for the full-time Full Stack Javascript Web Development Immersive course. It was an amazing journey and I am glad to have met the people I have met during this time, the program was an incredible experience and I hope to find even more enrichment as I continue to pursue software development as a career.
I was previously employed as a Tesla Fitter Technician working on the Model S and X assembly line at the Tesla Factory located in Fremont, California. I'm self-driven with accomplishments leading team-based tasks and demonstrated success developing and executing plans in a fast paced high pressure environment. Looking forward to continuous learning and improving skills that can hopefully make a positive impact. The main goal is to be a part of a community that gives me the opportunity to tackle challenges, contribute to innovative ideas, and to grow as a whole.
My family raised me along with my two siblings working at a Chinese restaurant twelve hours a day, seven days a week. While not in the best financial situation, my mom would always like to spend her free time trying a bunch of new foods she never had before with the tip money she had earned. Sometime after she would always try to remake the dish if she saw that we really liked it and as a child I would always see her smile while watching us eat her food and that resonated with me as I grew up.
I only started to cook as a hobby after my mom passed away due to cancer as a way to connect with her again. I have made a variety of things over the years and they have gotten more intricate and inspired as it remains as something I am passionate about.
The photo on the right was my attempt at the Squirtle Squad from Pokemon but as turtle shaped bread with a snickerdoodle cookie layer on top. With breadmaking there is this level of complexity that comes from technique and patience. I find myself comparing it to software development often as both can be seen as arduous processes.
Currently looking for a job and to continue to improve my skills that can hopefully make a positive impact. The main goal is to be part of a community that gives me the opportunity to tackle challenges and to contribute to innovative ideas.
